IM-10
Universelles Schnittstellen- und Signalaufbereitungsmodul

The Central Interface for Sensors and Data Acquisition
The IM-10 has been designed to simplify the integration of a wide variety of sensors into measurement, environmental monitoring, and automation systems. Featuring ten freely configurable bias ports, integrated RS-485 support, battery voltage monitoring, and four AC signal converters, the module combines numerous functions in a compact DIN-rail-mounted device.
Its exceptional flexibility makes the IM-10 suitable for both weather stations and industrial monitoring and control applications.
Ten Freely Configurable Sensor Connections
At the heart of the IM-10 are ten universal bias ports. Each connection can be individually configured via DIP switches, allowing direct adaptation to a wide range of sensor types.
Available Signal Bias Options
- 1 mA pull-up
- 10 mA pull-up
- 10 kΩ pull-down
This enables direct connection of rain gauges, wind sensors, contact sensors, and many other signal-generating devices without the need for additional external circuitry.
Integrated RS-485 Bus Support
For professional use in distributed measurement systems, the IM-10 includes an integrated RS-485 interface with selectable bus termination and biasing.
Benefits
- Switchable 120 Ω termination resistor
- Integrated bus bias resistors
- Improved signal quality over long cable runs
- Reliable communication in industrial environments
This ensures stable and interference-free data transmission over extended distances.
AC Signal Converters for Wind Sensors
Many traditional wind sensors generate AC voltage signals. For this reason, the IM-10 incorporates four integrated AC signal converters that transform these signals into clean TTL pulses.
Features
- Input voltage range from 100 mV to 120 Vpp
- Frequency range from 0 to 600 Hz
- 5 V TTL outputs
- Optimized for wind speed sensors
- Integrated surge and lightning protection
This allows even legacy sensor systems to be easily integrated into modern data acquisition platforms.
Continuous Battery Voltage Monitoring
The integrated battery monitoring system enables voltage measurement of:
- 6 V systems
- 12 V systems
- 24 V systems
The measured voltage is automatically scaled to an analog signal suitable for data loggers and monitoring equipment. This enables continuous supervision of battery charge levels and solar power systems.
Modular Expansion – Less Wiring, More Flexibility
The IM-10 is part of the modular MeteoSense DIN-rail ecosystem and has been designed for simple and scalable system expansion. Multiple modules can be mounted directly next to each other on the DIN rail and interconnected via internal connectors.
This eliminates much of the point-to-point wiring normally required. Power and signals can be efficiently distributed between modules, significantly reducing installation effort, potential failure points, and cabinet space requirements.
Whether additional sensor inputs, communication interfaces, or new measurement functions are required, the system grows effortlessly with your application requirements.

Advantages of the Modular Architecture
