HTS-1 – Temperature and Humidity Sensor with Triple-Sensor Safety

Reliable Climate Data – Triple Verified

The HTS-1 is more than just a standard environmental sensor – it is a high-precision, triple-redundant measurement instrument for temperature and relative humidity.
Three fully integrated sensing elements operate in parallel within a specially engineered housing. Their data is internally processed, cross-checked, and averaged to ensure the highest accuracy and long-term stability under real-world environmental conditions.

Benefits of the Triple-Sensor Architecture

  • Redundancy and plausibility checks: Internal cross-verification between sensors protects against measurement deviations.
  • Averaging for long-term stability: Compensates for aging effects and environmental disturbances.
  • Reliable operation in extreme conditions: Ideal for exposed sites and long-term deployments.

Calibration Based on Physical Standards

Each HTS-1 is individually calibrated – not via mass alignment, but using genuine physical reference standards.
Temperature and humidity are matched at precisely controlled reference points across multiple conditions to ensure the highest accuracy.
Where others rely on software-based corrections, we use real reference environments.
Others skip this effort – we define it as the standard.

Top-Level Energy Efficiency

Despite its triple-sensor architecture, the HTS-1 operates with ultra-low power consumption – generating virtually no self-heating.
This eliminates the need for complex thermal insulation.

  • <20 µA in sleep mode
  • ~3 mA during active operation
  • Automatic power management detects query behavior and dynamically optimizes energy usage.

Ideal for:

  • Solar-powered climate monitoring
  • Autonomous environmental stations
  • Battery-powered long-term projects

Full System Integration – Industrial Standard Interfaces

The HTS-1 features four digital interfaces, supporting all common industrial protocols.
This allows seamless integration into existing systems – whether for weather stations, environmental monitoring networks, or mobile research platforms.

Available Outputs:

  • RS-485
    Up to 115,200 baud
Supports Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII, and ASCII stream
Ideal for long cables, bus operation, and industrial integration
  • RS-232
    Also up to 115,200 baud
    Same protocols as RS-485
Simple point-to-point communication, e.g. with data loggers
  • SDI-12
    Also supports ASCII output
    Compatible with standard measurement networks
  • USB-C (CDC / Virtual COM Port)
    For configuration and live readout
Supports data streaming and batch logging on a PC
User-friendly – no special interface required

Additional Features:

  • ESD protection up to 15 kV on all data lines – ideal for field applications
  • Customizable output intervals: 1 second to 24 hours
  • All settings are persistent – remain stored even after power loss
  • ASCII streaming mode: sensor data is sent continuously – perfect for real-time data acquisition
